Established in 1982, Congrex is an independent, privately owned group of companies whose parent company, Congrex Holding bv, is registered in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Congrex Holland is one of the subsidiary companies from Congrex Holding, operating worldwide and in close cooperation with each other. Together they employ some 100 permanent and more than 200 temporary staff members. In addition, Congrex has partner offices around the globe in other European countries and Latin America.
Over the past 23 years, Congrex has organised congresses and exhibitions all over the world, for groups varying from 50 to 17,000. Congrex's staff members are continuously trained and have built up extensive experience and knowledge of the conference industry, resulting in the successful organisation of more than 2,000 conferences around the globe. Congrex is also equipped to manage permanent secretariats for international associations based in different parts of the world. For these associations Congrex works on the basis of long-term, multi-meeting contracts, organising all of their congresses around the world.
The service is completed by Congrex's world-leading computer software systems for registration, hotel booking, abstract handling and abstract distribution, which are developed in-house and are continuously being perfected. These systems, meticulously designed to streamline administrative procedures and enhance management efficiency, enable Congrex to cater to an infinite variety of specialised congress and exhibition users and thereby guarantee the quality and efficiency of its services.
