The service costs 1 euro per 3 minutes per person (infants up to the age of 2 travel for free, and children aged 3 to 12 pay half price). Most rides will only cost about one or two euros. The Café Paard van Troje offers various activities throughout the week. Locals tend to call the cafe simply the Paard (the Horse). In this cozy café-cum- restaurant on Prinsegracht you can listen to the best local bands while enjoying a meal or a drink.
New talent and familiar faces
Wednesday nights in Paard van Troje are becoming increasingly more popular with the The Hague crowd. On these nights you can listen to new talent or see familiar faces on the stage. Shows start at 10 p.m. on Wednesday nights and admission is free.
Best and hottest records
On Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights great music is presented in the style of the Paard van Troje. The best and hottest records are played on these nights; all the highlights from the history of music.
On Thursday and Friday nights the Paard is open till 4 a.m., on Saturdays as late as 5 a.m.
Restaurant
The pleasantly furnished restaurant has two separate dining areas. The service is friendly and the kitchen excellent. You can enjoy a meal before one of the Pop Podium concerts or just have a pleasant evening out in the Café-Restaurant.
Changing menu
The restaurant menu changes every month. You can also dine in the café which has plenty of tables, as does the restaurant. The restaurant is open from Tuesdays to Saturdays from 5:30 p.m. On Sundays and Mondays it is open, provided there is a show in the Paard’s main auditorium.
