The Gemeentemuseum has a restaurant in the museum garden, Brasserie Berlage. Brasserie Berlage is a part of the pavilion, designed by H.P. Berlage. The restaurant is very attractively furnished and decorated. On cold winter days you can enjoy a pleasant dinner in the restaurant proper. In the summer months you may prefer to sip a leisurely drink on the terrace from which you have great views of the museum garden.
Seasonal dishes
The spacious and stylish Art Deco Brasserie has 70 seats and a big terrace in the garden. The classical kitchen mixes styles inventively, which has resulted in a very varied menu.
On the side of the pavilion is a conservatory. It has a separate entrance, old oak floorboards and lovely painted sketches by Berlage. The Brasserie offers appropriate dishes on holidays. In addition to the familiar fare for the various holidays, Brasserie Berlage serves season-related specialties. It has an ‘Asparagus Week’ and ‘Herring Days’ and presents mussels and game in their respective seasons.
